Linguistic Explorer – A chat game with an alien

Description

Linguistic Explorer is a short chat game, entirely vibe-coded using Lovable.

As the player, you meet a small alien who communicates solely through emotes. In each loop, you compose a message from your limited vocabulary, receive a reply from the alien, collect new “phrases”—aka emojis—and gradually build more expressive messages from your growing lexicon.

The alien is powered by a large language model (LLM), which selects responses from an available emoji library. If I were to continue the project, the next step would be designing new levels and improving the LLM’s ability to interpret emoji-based context more deeply.

That said, this was just a quick experiment to see how well I could use Lovable for prototyping. The verdict: reasonably well. I’ll keep exploring.
